In my first two years I studied at Moreton Morrell College, gaining a National Diploma in horticulture. While at the college I learnt many skills, including a wide knowledge of plants.
Then went on to work for a very well renowned company in the Warwickshire area for the later 8 years. It is there where I learnt most of my hard and soft landscaping skills. While working for the company I was involved in creating many bespoke outdoor living spaces – winning a BALI award which is one of the most prestigious awards within the landscaping industry. I quickly progressed and within a couple of years I was promoted to foreman and running my own sites. After 8 years it seemed a natural progression to step out on my own and start my own successful company and so Taylor Landscape and Design was born.

At Taylor Landscape & Design, we believe that exceptional outdoor spaces are not created by luck—they are engineered through meticulous standards, deep material knowledge, and consistent site management. While many landscaping contractors rely on sub-contractors or unmonitored crews, our reputation across Warwickshire and the Cotswolds is built on our permanently employed, in-house team of 4 to 6 core specialists.
By keeping our team focused, agile, and continuously trained, we deliver high-ticket structural builds—from large-format vitrified porcelain terracing to complex Cotswold stone retaining walls—with absolute craftsmanship and approachable, professional client communication.
Instead of outsourcing critical groundworks or surface finishes to third-party sub-contractors, Taylor Landscape & Design deploys structured in-house teams of 4 to 6 dedicated craftsmen on every project.
By maintaining a balanced team size of 4 to 6 specialists, we maintain total control over project pace, site cleanliness, and execution quality. Every team member brings a distinct skill set to the site:
Site & Project Management: On-site leadership overseeing day-to-day operations, client updates, and schedule management.
Civil Engineering & Drainage: Experts in deep excavation, sub-base compaction (MOT Type 1), land drainage, and SuDS compliance.
Master Stonemasons & Paving Specialists: Craftsmen trained in precision diamond-blade cutting, slurry bonding, epoxy jointing, and dry-stone walling.
Timber & Outdoor Living Technicians: Specialists in aluminum louvered pergolas, Millboard composite decking, and outdoor kitchen utility framing.
Every Taylor Landscape & Design project is run by a dedicated Site Manager who embodies our core values: technical excellence, clear communication, and an approachable manner.
Your Site Manager acts as your single point of contact throughout the build. They ensure that complex engineering specs are translated into flawless aesthetics while keeping you informed every step of the way.
Client Accessibility: Direct daily communication so you always know what is happening on site.
Polite, Respectful Site Environment: Our teams work in private estates and high-value residential neighborhoods across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, and Chipping Campden. We enforce strict standards regarding site tidiness, noise management, and professionalism.
High build standards do not happen by accident. To ensure our work consistently exceeds British Standards (BS 7533 for paving) and manufacturer guidelines, all team members undergo regular internal and external training programs.
Key Areas of Continuous Development:
Advanced Material Handling: Best practices for laying large-format vitrified porcelain slabs, natural Cotswold stone, and granite.
Structural Mortar & Bonding Systems: Training on slurry primer application, polymer-modified bedding mortars, and two-part epoxy grouts to eliminate frost breakdown and weeds.
Sub-Surface Drainage & Hydraulics: Technical instruction on installing hidden slot drains, soakaways, and retaining wall weep holes to prevent hydraulic failure.
Product Certifications: Manufacturer-accredited installation training for premium luxury brands including Millboard decking, Renson pergolas, and Bull outdoor kitchens.
To protect our brand reputation and provide investors and clients with complete peace of mind, Taylor Landscape & Design enforces a rigorous Quality Assurance Protocol.

Landscaping multi-level gardens or period properties often uncovers unexpected site conditions—such as high water tables, hidden sub-surface utilities, or unstable soil. We manage these challenges proactively through weekly project review meetings.
How Our Weekly Project Reviews Work:
Pace & Timeline Audits: Reviewing completed milestones against the project schedule to ensure key deadlines are hit.
On-Site Challenge Resolution: Discussing site-specific engineering challenges (e.g., ground leveling, utility routing for outdoor kitchens) with the whole team to implement tested solutions.
Materials & Logistics Planning: Coordinating material deliveries to minimize disruption to clients and local roads in town centers like Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, and Warwick.
Transparent Client Updates: Translating weekly site findings into clear progress summaries for the homeowner.
We install pathway lights for safe and illuminated walkways, accent lighting to highlight architectural features and garden elements.
By combining a permanent in-house workforce, dedicated site managers, internal training, and unannounced quality checks, Taylor Landscape & Design offers an investable, low-risk solution for high-end residential clients and property developers.
